Tips for Organizing your Fabric Swatches

By creating a few simple tags, you won't be caught at the fabric store not knowing what fabrics or yardage you have in your stash ever again!

Fabric Swatch Tags

1. Create an assortment of cardstock tags using the Fiskars Simple Tag Maker.

  • Punch the tag shape

  • Add eyelet

2. Cut 1.5" squares of fabric from your fabric stash.

3. Adhere or staple the fabric swatches to each tag.

4. Write notes about the fabrics under the swatch and on the reverse of the tag. List the name/designer/collection of the fabric. The type of fabric, the amount of yardage you have as well as the width, and any other pertinent information.

5. Bundle the tags together in fabric type and tie with twine through the eyelets. They will be easily transported to/from the fabric store.
